OUR INITIATIVES
We pride ourselves on keeping charity at the epicenter of all that we do through our national international partnerships. Throughout our years of committed service to our charitable alliances, we have seen the tangible impact of using our unique platform and access to resources, for the upliftment of organizations that serve the underserved and lesser supported segments of society. We mandate that our contestants and titleholders engage their leadership and influence to positively impact these charities through their own volunteering, fundraising and advocacy efforts. Finally, at MUO, we remain committed to keeping philanthropy as the crowning cornerstone of all that we do.
BEST BUDDIES
Best Buddies® is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, Best Buddies’ programs engage participants in 50 countries, positively impacting the lives of nearly 700,000 people with and without disabilities around the world.
SMILE TRAIN
Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate. Millions of children with untreated clefts live in isolation, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing and speaking. Smile Train empowers local doctors in 85+ developing countries to provide 100%-free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care in their own communities.
